The Federal Reserve just made another move to keep the economy on track, cutting its key rate by 0.25% to a new range of 3.75% to 4.0% — the lowest level in three years.

It’s the second rate cut of 2025, aimed at easing borrowing costs and keeping unemployment in check.

The real estate industry makes up anywhere from 14 -18% of the US’s GDP. A coming boom could have an enormous impact on the U.S. economy. Sellers, builders, contractors, lawyers, accountants, brokers, insurers, retailers and countless other small- and mid-sized businesses that are both directly and indirectly connected to this industry will benefit. For this to happen mortgage rates will have to fall below 5.5%: almost two-thirds of mortgage holders have rates between 3 – 6%. (THE HILL)

20 US families own the biggest tracts of land and ranches in the US totalling almost 22 million acres…..none of them are Bill Gates. (lovemoney.com)

8.6% of Nebraska household income goes towards home insurance annually. It is second only to Louisiana, which is paying 10.8%. In absolute dollars, Nebraskans are paying the most, with an average of $6,425 annually. (USA TODAY)

Real estate investors, both individual and institutional, bought one-third of all single-family residential properties sold in the 2nd quarter of 2025, up from 27% in the 1st quarter, the highest percentage in the last 5 years. Institutional investors are selling more homes than they buy and have been for 6 consecutive quarters. (CNBC)
