Happy New Year! Welcome 2025

Each new year serves as a reminder of the successes and shortcomings of the past. As we approach a new administration, change is inevitable—some may eagerly anticipate it, while others may feel less enthusiastic. Regardless of where we stand, I’m reminded of the saying, “accept the things you cannot change.” Perhaps a sense of acceptance is what’s often missing in our fast-paced lives. Here are two of my favorite quotes, one by Dan Millman and another by Winston Churchill: “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy; not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” —Dan Millman “To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.” —Winston Churchill With the massive new demands for electricity, should we expect a surge in NUCLEAR facilities? How would you react to one built near your neighborhood? One nuclear reactor produces the equivalent of 800 wind turbines, or 8.5 million solar panels, is carbon-free. Already 48% of the clean energy in the U.S. comes from nuclear. But nuclear has a terrible safety perception after a few massive meltdowns globally. The death rate per unit of electricity production is 3.5X greater than solar, the safest…but…351X safer than coal, 263X safer than oil and 40X safer than natural gas. What happens to the nuclear waste? If you gathered all the used nuclear fuel produced by the U.S. in the last 60 years, it would occupy 10 yards of a football field…. (Multiple sources, Scott Galloway) Thinking of staging your home? It may be helpful to understand how colors are generally perceived? Here are some insights:
  • Blue: Trust, stability, calmness
  • Red: Urgency, excitement, attention-grabbing
  • Green: Nature, freshness, sustainability
  • Yellow: Warmth, happiness, optimism
  • Orange: Energy, enthusiasm, value
  • Black: Sophistication, power, luxury
  • bridge and sea
