We remove most the vineyards, the scruffy mountainsides, the commercial pieces and those which lack the right terrain for comfortably keeping equines. We also scope out the locations and take it off the list if you can’t get a trailer or hay truck up there.
Updated weekly, this is the latest ‘New Thing’ for us and we’re excited to share it. In 2002, we coined the term ‘Horse-able’ which refers to properties which have the potential to be good for horses but are just not set up like that yet. Now it seems like all the agents use it but we’re fine with that. We understand that some properties have no equestrian amenities, no barns, arenas, tack rooms, round pens, fencing, field shelters… none of that. But maybe they would lend themselves to transformed and then be suitable for equines. Fences, barns & arenas can be built and most of the time, they can be constructed much more quickly, easily and at lower cost than building a home or even remodeling one. So go for finding the right house on the right ‘horse-able’ property and we’ll help hook you up with the folks who can turn it into your dream home for horses. Because guess what? It’s a small, tightly knit group in many ways, so when we developed the only comprehensive database of equestrians in the North Bay we did it knowing that between them, they know almost all the horse people on the planet! We use this network very sparingly, treat them with the greatest of respect and make them the first to know of new properties we have listed.
In addition, we are active equestrians ourselves — involved with most every horse club, charity and related organization in the local area. This puts us face to face with many of our local riders and very close to what is happening both in the horse world and with horse properties.

In 2003, we launched PREMIER EQUESTRIAN PROPERTIES, a catalog of wonderful horse properties which we shared with over 4,000 local and not so local equestrians. With this, we developed what we think is the most comprehensive database of horse people in the North Bay area. We believe this enables us to get in touch with buyers and sellers of horse property in a more timely and efficient manner than anyone else in the business and gives us a distinctive differential advantage.
As an early technology adopter, Lisa was a leader in internet advertising on the nascent equestrian property marketing websites. These sites continue to grow and develop and therefore increasingly give broader exposure to our listings to a local, national and international audience. As a result of our support during their early days, we are usually the agents whom they refer when buyers are asking for a country property aficionado.
