How you can help our human friends and horses in LA at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center
“Your generosity helps ensure the safety and comfort of these animals during this challenging time. Thank you for making a difference! We are so grateful to everyone who has volunteered to help at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center during this wildfire emergency.”
“Through years of interior designing for clients across the world, I’ve come to understand something of the soul of a home. It is, at its core, a story of someone’s life — a curation of memories and moments intricately connected to our sense of self. When you suddenly lose a home, it can feel as if you’ve lost a part of yourself. From the furniture passed down through generations, to photographs and letters lovingly preserved, to the irretrievable, familiar smell.”

The Writing Is On The Wall?
- Tariffs are bound to raise prices on many goods including materials used for building lots of stuff including homes. Will the manufacturers pass on this cost to consumers or pick up the tab? Hmmmmmm…. we all know the answer to this one.
- In a low birth rate environment, immigrants fueled population growth. With much lower immigration, chances are population growth will pause.
- The skilled labor population is shrinking as it ages. Immigrants – documented and otherwise – are a huge force in US commerce, especially as it relates to more affordable labor. Texas alone is estimated to have around 2 million undocumented workers. Expect labor costs to rise.
- Deregulation could offset some of these higher costs, but chances are corporations will not pass these savings on to the consumer. This could keep corporate profitability strong which benefits investors and owners. Expect this to fuel LUXE-flation especially.
- Lower tax rates for individuals and corporations could put more spending capital in the hands of the consumer and corporations: we saw how that played out during covid with stimulus and savings fueling inflation.
