Can We Agree?


Getting people to agree on anything seems increasingly difficult, even between couples in a healthy marriage! In a very divisive world where dividing people has proven to be extremely profitable and power-fueling, it’s always a good idea to step back from these divider-profiteers to see where we are united as a species. Yes, we actually agree on lots. Homes are one of those uniting aspects. 84% of Americans say they’d like to own a home one day: 84% of Americans don’t agree on much. More Americans are united in their desire to purchase property than brush their teeth twice a day (61%)!

We all have one thing in common globally amongst the approximately 8 billion humans on earth: we all need a place to rest our bodies at the end of a day…..all of us. That place is called home. Almost everyone needs to buy or rent a home, everywhere. Very few are afforded free housing. Not unlike everything else, of course, the dividers-for-profit have also seen housing as an opportunity to divide….and profit.

  1. Lawmakers on one end of the spectrum want free housing and on the other end want no real estate taxes assuming the road that leads to their home is the responsibility of ‘someone else’.
  2. Financial entities that want to own all homes and rent them back to you forever, elevating rents forever.
  3. Entities that wish to enable consumers to buy and rent homes without any advisors…..of course paying them a fee for THEIR do-it-yourself services or eyeballing their sites more to generate higher advertising revenues.
